Ratel.kz editorial office received a letter from E. Kanter-Skripkina, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of RecyclingCompany LLP. She demanded a public apology from journalist Sergey Perkhalsky and the editorial office. The claim came immediately after the publication of S. Perkhalsky’s article «Ballad of ’Trefoils’: What Nefyodov agreed with the court and Akimat» (Ratel.kz, 01.07.2023). The author of the letter is mentioned in the publication in connection with the criminal case of bribing a judge, in which in 2021, at that time, the lawyer of the construction company Olivia LLP E. Kanter-Scripkina was recognised as a bribe-giver. Kanter-Skripkina was found guilty of attempted bribery on a significant scale. In case no apology from the editorial office follows, the author of the letter stated her intention to apply to the court for protection of her rights.
