On May 29, the Second District Military Court sentenced local online activist Sergey Lavrov to five-year imprisonment in a general regime colony on charges of public calls to terrorist activity on the Internet (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) at the on-site session in Kursk. In addition, Lavrov was banned from administering websites, groups, and chat rooms on the Internet for two and a half years. Sergey Lavrov was detained on June 5, 2019, after which he was placed under house arrest.
