The Russian Ministry of Justice has added blogger Sergey Kuropov, a former Russian television journalist, to its register of “foreign agents.” In 2022, Kuropov was granted political refugee status in Canada. The ministry stated that he opposed the military operation in Ukraine and “equated the Russian Federation with the Third Reich.”
