In Izhevsk, the journalist of the newspaper Novoe Vremya Udmurtia Sergey Kurbatov was kicked out of the Philharmonic Hall where he was meeting with the head of the republic Alexander Brechalov. Kurbatov wanted to question Brechalov about his performance since he is running for re-election this year. Kurbatov showed his ID card and editorial assignment to the administrators, but they called the police to escort the journalist out of the building. Kurbatov was not told how to be accredited, but the guards said that they would not let him «personally» into the event. Kurbatov complained with the police and the prosecutor’s office.
