The 2nd Western District Military Court sentenced blogger Sergey Komandirov to six and a half years in prison for his posts on the social network VKontakte. Komandirov was declared guilty of three episodes of justification of terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), rehabilitation of Nazism (Part 4 of Article 354 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), incitement of hatred by the threat of violence (Paragraph A of Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and insulting a government official (Article 319 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Komandirov was arrested in the fall of 2021.
