Ainbinder was detained near the Luzhniki Sports Complex, where a rally concert was held to mark the 8th anniversary of the annexation of Crimea. The journalist was held at the Khamovniki police station for about eight hours and released without a report. The police also detained three Sota Vision reporters who were about to cover the event. The two photo reporters were arrested for ten and three days, respectively.
