The editor-in-chief of RusNews Sergey Ainbinder, who was covering an unauthorized protest rally in Makhachkala, was detained by the police. According to the media, the journalist was physically abused and his equipment was taken or broken. The officers took Ainbinder's phone but did not turn off the broadcast. The police streamers could be watched at the link. 17 hours after his detention, Ainbinder was released from the police station.
