On 6 May, Sergei Tikhanovsky was detained to serve a 15-day arrest for his participation in protests against integration with Russia in December 2019. After the detention, a video appeared on Sergey Tikhanovsky YouTube channel with a statement that he intends to participate in the presidential campaign as a candidate for the President of Belarus.
