The Ministry of Justice included journalist Sergei Markelov and two of his colleagues – Denis Kamalyagin (Pskovskaya Guberniya) and Lyudmila Savitskaya (Radio Svoboda) – in the register of media foreign agents. Together with human rights activist Lev Ponomarev and activist Darya Apakhonchich, they became the first individuals designated «foreign agents» under the new law.
