Serafim Romanov, the editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta in St. Petersburg, detained at the anti-mobilization rally, was arrested for 5 days. The journalist spent the whole night at the police station of the Kalininsky district, and the next morning, he and the other detainees were taken to court. Serafim was charged with Part 1 of Article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation — participation in an unauthorized action. He went to the protest action not as an employee of the media.
