On March 20, FSB officers detained journalist Sasha (Alexandra) Alexandrova on suspicion of publicly inciting terrorism and justifying terrorist acts (Article 205.2 of the Russian Criminal Code). The following day, a court ordered her into pre-trial detention. Alexandrova previously worked for Yakutian media outlets Ykt.ru and SakhaDay. After 2022, she lived abroad and published critical reports about the Russian government and the war. She returned to Yakutia in 2024.
