In the Talapker village of the Akmola region, the chairperson of the commission of polling station №685 Sakypzhamal Slambekova did not allow the reporter of Radio Azattyq Saniyash Toyken and cameraman Kenzhetay Akseytov to cover the voting in the referendum on making amendments and additions to the Constitution of Kazakhstan. Slambekova said the journalists «were not on the list» and demanded to see the original application for temporary accreditation and the editorial assignment. At the Central Election Commission, where the editors of Radio Azattyq referred for comments, an employee who introduced himself as a lawyer assured that the camera crew would be allowed to cover the voting at this polling station, but the journalists were never allowed in.
