Journalist Sandugash Duisenova was brought to trial on charges of defamation. Administrative proceedings were initiated at the request of the prosecutor of the Uygur district of the Almaty region Arman Omarov. The reason was Duisenova’s post and video message on Instagram about his cattle illegally grazing on the territory of the national park Charyn. The court terminated administrative proceedings against the journalist for the absence in her actions of knowledge and direct intent to disseminate false information.
