Additional information:
The Sakhalin-based news agency Sakh.com, which has existed since 1999, announced that it had ceased operations after two website blockings. According to the media, «it is not only difficult but also dangerous to continue journalistic activities and write about events in the region and the country in the context of constant blocking». Roskomnadzor blocked Sakh.com in August and again in November, when the agency’s staff created a new website. Roskomnadzor’s register does not specify either the grounds for the listing or the body that made the decision. Back in March, the Council of Soldiers’ Mothers appealed to law enforcement authorities with a demand to check the website for «anti-Russian propaganda».
