On March 5, 2024, in Simferopol, the civil journalist of Crimean Solidarity Rustem Osmanov was charged under Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organisation of activities of a terrorist organisation and participation in the activities of such an organisation) for participation in the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir. Before that, Osmanov’s house in Bakhchisaray was searched.
