The judge of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow Yelena Lenskaya has sentenced in absentia the head of the Conflict Intelligence Team Ruslan Leviev (Karpuk) and journalist Michael Nacke to 11 years of general regime colony in the case of «military» fakes (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court also banned both of them from publishing materials on the Internet for five years. The prosecutor’s office requested 13 years of colony for each of them. There are two episodes in the case: one of them concerns the video in which Leviev and Nacke summarised the results of the ninth day of the war — they talked about the introduction of the law on «military» fakes in Russia, the deaths of Ukrainian civilians and the shelling of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant; the second episode concerns Leviev’s and Nacke’s participation in the Popular Politics channel’s broadcasts of March 9 and 16, 2022.
