On September 11, the staff of the Atyrau Regional Children’s Hospital appealed to law enforcement authorities in social networks to provide a legal assessment of the actions of local blogger Rustem Bayaziyev. The medical workers claim that the blogger has spread false information in social networks that discredits the staff of the Atyrau Regional Children’s Hospital. They believe that Bayaziyev has violated legal norms, namely the right to privacy and own image, and have expressed their intention to defend the honour and dignity of the hospital staff. Bayaziyev said that he had visited the hospital following complaints from parents of disabled children and that the video showed parents complaining about the lack of assistance, the negligent attitude of doctors at the children’s hospital, and the lack of necessary equipment.
