The Investigative Committee decided to bring Stepan Putilo and Roman Protasevich as defendants under the following articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus: 293 (organization of mass riots) and 342 (organization of group actions that grossly violate public order). A criminal case under Part 3 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus was also brought against them «in connection with committing premeditated actions aimed at inciting social hatred on the grounds of professional affiliation». The bloggers, who are now outside Belarus, are wanted by the government. KGB put Putilo and Protasevich on the list of organizations and individuals involved in terrorist activities.
