The Cheryomushki District Court of Moscow ordered Dobrokhotov to pay RUB 156,000 on a lawsuit filed by Dutch blogger Max van der Werff for the protection of honour and dignity. The court also ordered Dobrokhotov to refute the article about the Dutchman’s cooperation with the GRU and the Russian Ministry of Defence. The blogger’s claim was partially satisfied — he requested RUB two million. A criminal defamation case has also been opened against Dobrokhotov based on van der Werff’s denunciation. In July, the journalist and his parents’ flats were searched in this case. Dobrokhotov was forced to go abroad.
