On the evening of April 9, the Federal Security Service conducted a search at the apartment of Roman Anin, editor-in-chief of IStories (“Important Stories”), which lasted almost seven hours. All electronic equipment, documents and phones were confiscated. The search was conducted as a part of a criminal case under the article on "violation of privacy by abusing his professional functions". After the search, Anin was taken for a night interrogation to the Investigative Committee.
