The Supreme Court of Crimea has considered an appeal against the ruling of the Kievsky District Court and upheld the fine imposed on civil journalist Rolan Osmanov in the case of «petty hooliganism». Earlier, he was fined RUB 70,000. This was reported to Crimean Solidarity by lawyer Nazim Sheikhmambetov. «Rolan Osmanov did not plead guilty, explaining in court that he had no intention to commit the acts incriminated to him», — said the defence lawyer after the meeting. A report on Osmanov under Part 3 of Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (petty hooliganism) was drawn up by officers of the Center for Combating Extremism on March 15, after Crimean Federal Security Service officers searched his apartment in the morning.
