The Department of Defence Affairs of the Akmola Region of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan filed a complaint with the police against blogger Rinat Gallyamov, demanding to bring him to administrative responsibility for spreading false information. The reason was the post «About the deaths of 270 servicemen», published in the Kokshetau Today blog in Instagram in August 2024. The materials of the administrative case were submitted to the court. Gallyamov disagreed with the charge, explaining that he was not the author of the controversial video. He also explained that it was posted on several websites, and the information in it was taken from official sources. The court found that no evidence of dissemination of knowingly false information had been presented to the court. In addition, the testimonies of witnesses confirmed the information posted in the Instagram publication. On November 7, the court terminated the proceedings for lack of corpus delicti.
