Gurban Mammadov, a well-known Azerbaijani lawyer and politician residing in Great Britain, filed a lawsuit against the five well-known media outlets: ARB TV, REAL TV, qafqazinfo.az, ATV and Turan news agency. Of the mentioned media outlets, ATV in 2020 broadcast a story about Mammadov's connections with government officials, acquiring property through these connections. Other media repeated the information contained in this story. Mammadov believes that this information damaged his honor, dignity, and business reputation. Mammadov demands a refutation and apology from the media. On July 18, the Sabail District Court will hold a preparatory meeting of the court.
