Activist mom-blogger Aliya Sadyrbayeva from Karaganda issued a letter of claim to the Ratel.kz editorial office regarding Sergei Perhalski article: “Child benefits recipient bought a $860 license plate”. The article was inspired by the activist’s Facebook post in which she bragged about a brand-new Toyota car with the official license plate. In 2020, such license plate is worth six months of the child benefit payments. In her letter of claim, the activist demands that Ratel.kz deletes the article from all the social media accounts, issues a public apology, retracts the article, cancels the contract with the journalist and compensates Sadyrbayeva 20 million tenge for the moral injury.
