Unknown persons copied websites Ratel.kz, Nur.kz, InBusiness.kz and NewTimes.kz. The fakes have the same design as the real websites, most of the articles are the same, and the domain names differ by just one letter. All four websites were registered to a person named Vladimir Korablyov, and his location was listed as Belgorod Region, Belgorod City, and, for some reason, Ukraine instead of Russia. His phone number is listed in Russia. After the fake websites became publicly known, hoster.kz head Denis Sukhachev shut down the fakes. Ratel.kz management considered it a threat to national security and filed a complaint with the police to investigate the incident.
