The Kirovsky District Court of Ufa sentenced political activist and blogger Ramilya Saitova to five years of imprisonment in a general regime colony in the case of public calls for activities against the security of the state (Part 2 of Article 280.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). She was banned from administering websites for four years. The case was initiated for a YouTube video in which Saitova called on mobilised people to refuse to participate in the war. She was arrested in May 2023. Saitova had previously served time in a case of public calls to extremism; she was released in the summer of 2022.
