The Leninsky District Court of Brest has recognised a Facebook page titled “Radio Svaboda” (identifier: facebook.com/svaboda.org) as extremist informational material. On the basis of the court’s decision, the Belarusian Ministry of Information added the online resource to the Republican List of Extremist Materials. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and storage of materials deemed extremist entail administrative liability for both publishers and users. Earlier, in December 2023, the website and other resources of this media outlet were also designated as “extremist”. In 2021, the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs classified “Radio Svaboda” as an extremist organisation.
