General Mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban, accused the Radio Europa Libera Moldova of trying to discredit him through sending "challenging questions to our partners abroad" to find out information about their "interaction" with the mayor of Chisinau. Radio Europa Libera Moldova sent request to Romania, after the City Hall of Chisinau did not respond to the same requests within the 30 working day period stipulated by law. Ceban also complained that the investigation launched by Radio Europa Libera Moldova was part of an "enormously large discredit campaign."
