The media reported that a monument to former Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in front of the National Defence University in Astana was removed. An employee of the educational institution confirmed the information to Radio Azattyq, advising to contact the management for details. Another representative of the university replied that «the Ministry of Defence is preparing official information for the media». The media outlet’s reporter was unable to enter the University, as the entrance was barred. The guard did not let the journalist in, saying that the university was a strategic facility.
