A man who introduced himself as Ilimbek Israilov organized a rally near the office of Azattyk in Bishkek, which about 40 people attended. They demanded the shutdown of Azattyk, Kloop, and Cactus media Israilov said he would begin collecting signatures to close the three media outlets and threatened to use violence against Azattyk and Kloop journalists. «I will tell you openly, next time without warning we will take very tough actions against Azattyk and Kloop. We’ll pour gasoline on them», — said Israilov and, turning to the cameramenof Azattyk, threatened them that if next time he sees them at the rallies, he will break something. Israilov is known for his participation in the rallies in support of the former Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service Raiymbek Matraimov, who was previously detained on suspicion of corruption, pleaded guilty and paid damages.
