The editors of the news agency Qapinfo requested permission to shoot a video review of the Akimat of the Almaty region, which moved into the building formerly belonging to the gambling establishment Royal Plaza. The request was rejected by the deputy head of the akim’s office, referring to the akim’s resolution, which included the building in the list of vulnerable objects from the point of view of terrorist threat. The editorial office considers the refusal to be unlawful.
