Verzilov was interrogated by the Investigative Committee and then a psychiatric examination was carried out. Recently, the 8th search was carried out in his flat. Verzilov is in the status of an accused in the case of failure to notify about the second citizenship (Article 330.2 of the Criminal Code) because the Canadian passport he holds and the status of a witness in the "Moscow case". On November 15, 2021, the Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a search warrant for Verzilov.
