Shalva Papuashvili, the Speaker of Parliament, accused Publika news outlet of inciting a criminal offense by sharing information about a planned protest aimed at blocking the entrance to Tbilisi, the capital. The day before, Georgian Dream had amended regulations to make such actions a criminal offense. Papuashvili also threatened Publika's donors, demanding they be "held responsible" for the "violation." In response, Publika issued a statement, stating that they viewed Papuashvili's remarks as a threat and an attempt to exert pressure on them.
