The former director of the National Security Service, leader of the I Have Honor Alliance, Artur Vanetsian, filed a lawsuit against Gurgen Melkonian, the deputy of the ruling Civic Contract parliamentary faction (Public Television Company of Armenia was brought in as a third party), demanding public refutation of the information considered as libel and financial compensation for the damage caused to his honour and dignity. The reason for the lawsuit was the thoughts expressed by Melkonian during an interview with host Petros Ghazaryan on the air of Public Television about Vanetsian's activities during the 44-day Karabakh war. The lawsuit is being considered.
