On 10 January, by a ruling of the Civil Court of Appeal of the Republic of Armenia, the defendant’s appeal was dismissed in the court case brought by Grisha Tamrazyan, Adviser to the Rector of the V. Brusov State University, against CJSC Public Television of Armenia. At first instance, the claim was partially upheld. The defendant also applied to the Court of Cassation, which on 16 April ruled to refuse acceptance of the appeal for consideration. Thus, under the judicial act that has entered into legal force, Public Television is obliged to publish a retraction, pay 20,000 drams (more than $50) in state duty, and 150,000 drams (around $400) as compensation for the claimant’s legal costs. The claim was filed on 5 January 2023.
