The Soviet District Court of Minsk has recognised the Instagram page “pressclubbelarus” (identifier: instagram.com/pressclubbelarus) as extremist information material. This page belongs to the “Press Club Belarus” community and had 1,563 followers. The project’s online platforms are intended for discussing professional issues, as well as opportunities for career growth and development within the media community. Based on the court’s decision, the Belarusian Ministry of Information has added the internet resource to the Republican list of extremist materials. Under Belarusian law, the dissemination and possession of materials deemed extremist carry administrative liability for both publishers and users.
