The Homel District Court of the Homel Region has designated the news website planeta.press and the affiliated Telegram channel “planeta.press” (identifier: t.me/planetapress) as extremist informational materials. On the basis of the court’s ruling, the Belarusian Ministry of Information has added these online resources to the Republican List of Extremist Materials. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and storage of materials recognised as extremist entail administrative liability for both publishers and users.
