On June 20, the mayor of Tbilisi and general secretary of the Georgian Dream party Kakha Kaladze filed a lawsuit against the Pirveli TV channel and journalist Maya Mamulashvili, demanding GEL 100,000 (about USD 35,000) as compensation for moral damage. According to Kaladze’s lawyer Dimitri Gabunia, on June 5, 2022, the Pirveli TV channel aired a program by Maya Mamulashvili in which the journalist stated that «Kakha Kaladze received GEL 60 million just from one tender which is the official information».
