During the rallies on February 28 in Almaty, the police used new tactics against journalists: they pushed hard and grabbed the equipment. “They acted in a clear and well-coordinated manner: interfering only with those who tried to film the arrests. When journalists gathered for a smoke break, these men stood nearby, trying to overhear what we were talking about,” said Peter Trotsenko.
