The editorial office of Pershy Rehiyon reported about problems with access to the website in Belarus. The representatives of the portal had no information about the reason why Internet providers blocked the information resource. On January 3, there was official information that Pershy Rehiyon (1reg.bу) was blocked by the order of Brest Region prosecutor Viktar Klimau. The prosecutor also imposed a ban on resuming access for 6 months. According to the website of the Prosecutor General’s Office, «numerous violations» of the Law on Mass Media were found in the work of the resource. According to the agency, in a number of publications the website posted content recognised as extremist.
