Parvina Abuzarova, whose blog on Instagram has 84,000 followers, was detained in Kazan. She is charged under Part 2 of Article 280.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for activities against the security of the state). First, law enforcers came to Parvina’s apartment on February 14 with a search, she reported on Instagram. According to the woman, the Federal Security Service officers broke into her apartment under the pretext that she was drowning her neighbors. They showed her a document that a criminal case had been opened against her. Abuzarova was prevented from changing out of her pyjamas and contacting her lawyer, and her phone was taken away. She plead guilty, but she ignored the summons for interrogation and was absent from her place of residence. She was then put on the federal wanted list. However, on March 31, the woman was detained again and placed under house arrest. Now she faces three to six years in prison.
