Independent reporter Parvin Abyshova held a solo protest action on July 9 in front of the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers building. Thus, she expressed disagreement with the decision of the government about the requirements for journalists, in order to perform their professional work, under conditions of the harsh quarantine regimen, to register at the portal e-icazə.gov.az. In her view, this requirement was an artificial obstacle limiting the right of journalists to receive information. Abyshova was detained by police officers and later released.
