The OVD-Info community on VKontakte was blocked on the territory of Russia at the demand of the Prosecutor General’s Office. The reason was «information materials containing inaccurate publicly significant information about a special military operation conducted by the Russian Armed Forces, its form, methods of combat operations, as well as information about attacks on civilian infrastructure, numerous victims among the civilian population of Ukraine and in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces, regarding general mobilization, and others». In December 2021, Roskomnadzor blocked the website of OVD-Info recognizing the activity of the project aimed at «propaganda of terrorism and extremism». In July, this decision was reversed — the case was sent for review.
