Mukhtor Temirov, deputy chairman of Uzbekneftegaz, attacked Otabek Qo'ldoshev, the correspondent of the online media Daryo.uz, to prevent the filming of a showdown between the official and Jahongir Tuychiev, director of the Qashqadaryo TV and Radio Company. Temirov strangled Kuldashev and, together with a security guard, tried to take away his camera. On that day, a press tour was organized for accredited journalists on the eve of the presidential election, for which Uzbekneftegaz gave the journalists a bus, but unexpectedly the deputy chairman of the company overturned it. Journalists refused to take another bus.
