On June 23, Daryo.uz journalist Otabek Kuldashev was interrogated by the police officers as part of the coverage of the trial of prominent members of the country’s criminal community. The journalist was suspected of publishing information on the website that was voiced at an open court session. For this reason, the chairman of the Shaykhantakhur District Court of Tashkent, Tolibzhon Obidov, allegedly submitted a petition. However, the journalist was not provided with a copy of the complaint. One of the last materials published by the journalist says that after release from prison, one of the criminals was connected with representatives of state organisations.
