On 1 September, the Civil Court of Appeal refused to admit for consideration the appeal lodged by the founder of the news website Oragir.news, Oragir Media LLC, against the decision of the court of first instance, which had upheld the claim of the Yerevan State University Foundation against the said media outlet. According to the court ruling, the defendant is required to retract information deemed defamatory, to pay symbolic compensation of 1 dram, and to reimburse the claimant for the state duty paid. The lawsuit was filed on 10 October 2023.
