Additional information:

On 8 October, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against LLC Oragir Media, demanding a retraction of information deemed defamatory, compensation of 800,000 drams (over $2,000), and reimbursement of legal costs, including attorney fees, amounting to 524,000 drams (over $1,300). The lawsuit was prompted by a video published on 18 September on the website Oragir.news, owned by the aforementioned LLC, in which a journalist conducts a street interview and reminds citizens of a well-known incident in which Simonyan allegedly ordered security personnel to seize a passer-by who had insulted him and spat in his face. The case is currently under consideration.
