On the 5th of August, in a Kotay region court, lawyer Gegam Margaryan brought forward a lawsuit against Egiazar Bagdasaryan and Oragir Media LLC. The suit requests an apology for offensive remarks, that the defendants deny statements which the plaintiff considers to be slanderous and to pay compensation. The reason for the complaint was an article, published on the 26th of June, claiming that Vaagen Kazaryan had a financial dispute with a neighbour. As a result, his lawyer Margaryan broke into Bagdasaryan's garden and cut down 126 fruit trees, causing 11 million dirham in damages (more than $27,000). The case is still under consideration.
