On December 15, Ratel.kz journalist Olga Voronko received accreditation to participate online in the open trial taking place in the Specialised Interdistrict Economic Court of the Pavlodar Region. However, the plaintiff in the case, a representative of the trade union of machine-builders of the Republic of Kazakhstan, demanded not to include the journalist in the process, calling her «bought». The judge denied the journalist the right to participate in the open court session. Voronko was included in the hearing only after the intervention of representatives of the Supreme Court.
