The journalist of Ratel.kz Olga Voronko received two summonses to the Pavlodar police within a week in connection with a libel claim filed by the heroine of her article back in the summer of 2022. Olga notes that the summons to the police followed the publication of material about a bribery trial of former police officers. The police officers from different police departments of the city demanded from the journalist to explain why she had mentioned the personal data of the applicant in her publications, namely her name and surname. Olga Voronko regards the police actions as bullying.
